Hello friend, chances are you were searching for a wedding photographer in Kos and found us here.

We love Greek islands, especially Kos! We have been to the island of Kos once which turned out to be one of the most beautiful and much more than expected of any Greek Island I've been to. And it would be an honour for us to be a part of your big day and celebrate life’s big moments with you in Kos.

Located very close to the coasts of Turkey, Kos island is the second most popular island of Dodecanese, after Rhodes. One of the most popular destinations in Greece. However, there are also places staying away from crowds and keeping their relaxing atmosphere.

We would like to say a word or two about us. We're Tu & Thuy, a destination wedding photographer & videographer based in Greece, Germany & other parts of Europe (mostly Italy, Spain, France) - also available worldwide.

We're a young couple who is having an affair with life, nature and sunlight. We love art, classic cinema, good food, traveling & seeking adventure off the grid. One day at a time. Both living and working with an adventurous mindset, we find ourselves drawn to couples who share our free-spirited lifestyle.

1. How to Get to Kos Island

If you're from Europe you can actually fly to Kos nonstop from many airports via direct flight.

Kos-Hippocrates Airport is located right in the center of the island. Since the island is only 45 kilometers long, it takes no longer than 40 minutes to all accommodations on the island. The public transport network is extremely well equipped compared to other Greek islands. The bus stops are numbered and there are even printed bus timetables. But you can also rent a rental car on Kos. I definitely recommend this option if you want to discover all hidden corners and impressive places on Kos on your own.

2. Best Time to Have a Wedding in Kos

When is the best time to travel to / get married in Kos? A question that definitely cannot be left unanswered on the list of Kos tips.

What is the weather like in Kos in summer? Due to the Mediterranean climate, the island shines with hot summers and mild winters. In the summer months, temperatures can quickly break the 40 °C mark. You should also know that the temperatures do not usually drop below 15 ° C even in winter.

If you want to experience an unforgettable, hot vacation by the sea, the months from May to September are especially worthwhile. But there will be crowded, hotel and everything are also more expensive. For many people, the hot is unbearable. For those of you who spend an active holiday on Kos, want to get closer to nature and take a closer look at the sights without any tourists, it is worth thinking about the spring and autumn months as a travel time. It is not too hot at this time and you have the chance to bypass the tourist flow. Or even a winter wedding in Kos would be amazing since the weather in winter is so mild.

3. What to See in Kos Island

Kos town

All fans of ancient history are spot on in Kos Town. Due to the small size of the city, you can visit all the sights in Kos Town on foot. It doesn't get any better, can it? These include, for example, the large square on the harbor promenade, Eleftherias Square, the Neratzia fortress, also known as Narangia Castle, the Johanniter Fortress and the Embros thermal baths in the open sea. You should also stroll through the winding streets of the city. There, the cute and dreamy atmospheres ensure that you can forget your everyday life for a moment. You absolutely have to walk along the promenade and soak up the incredible maritime atmosphere of Kos Town.

Mountain Village Zia

The mountain village of Zia is one of the most beautiful and at the same time the most remote vacation spots on Kos. This is the highest point of the island and you have a unique view of the entire island. Especially at sunset you can make yourself comfortable at Oromedon tavern, taste delicious Greek specialties and enjoy the traditional island wine. Can it be more beautiful? I do not think so! That is why this attraction should not be missing in any Kos trip. You should also keep an eye out for other romantic mountain villages during your tour of the interior of the island. In the middle of coniferous forests you can get to know the island from an authentic side and enjoy a fascinating tranquility.

Mastichari

On the north coast of the island you will find one of the top Kos attraction with the small and busy harbor town Mastichari. If you plan a stay in the small town, you will get to know the pristine island life and guaranteed an unforgettable vacation. In the small streets of Mastichari you will find not only cute taverns, but also small shops and supermarkets that provide the perfect stuffs for an individual trip. In addition, the port of the village enables you to make a trip to the neighboring island of Kalymnos. So if you don't want to relax all day on one of the picturesque beaches of Mastichari and long for some variety, a tour of the picturesque island is an absolute must on your to-do list.

Kamari

The Kefalos peninsula is definitely one of the most beautiful spots on the island. Surrounded by wild mountain landscapes, crystal clear water and endless beaches, you can enjoy picturesque scenery, especially in the holiday resort Kamari. The village is one of the tourist spot of the peninsula, but this does not mean that the place is always crowded in high season. In Kamari, everyday life is comparatively relaxed. While you take a close look at the island, you should definitely pay a visit to the town of the same name Kefalos. Once being there, you will immediately feel welcome, experience incredible hospitality and immerse yourself in the life of the locals.

So you can discover the special features of the island from an indescribable perspective.

But hiking on Kos is also a real highlight. You should not miss a tour of Mount Dikeos from Kos. However, this hike can be quite exhausting for non-avid hiker, especially in high summer. Accordingly, you should plan your ascent in the early morning and pack enough provisions. Otherwise, the 10-kilometer circular hiking trail from Evangelistria is also recommended. Whatever you choose, you will not regret it.

Embros thermal baths

Do you want to do something good for your body and soul? Then a visit to the Embros Therme is worthwhile. About 12 kilometers from Kos town, sulphurous water gushes out of crevices into the natural pools there. The beneficial thermal water is characterized by rich minerals that have special effects on the body. A real oasis awaits you!

Night life on Kos

All party friends among your guests (they can thank me later lol) can look forward to the lively nightlife of Kos. You will find a handful of clubs, especially in the old town district of Kos Town, between Mandraki Port and Agora. The Fashion Club is one of the most popular stops there. Techno, rave or hip hop is played in the Camel Bar at the port of the island's capital. Between the mosque and the Hippocrates plane tree, you can look forward to electrobeats with laser shows in the West Bar. Outside the city you have the opportunity to visit the Kalua Heaven Club on Lambi Beach in Kos. The oldest beach club on the island regularly hosts foam parties or beauty pageants.

Popular clubs on Kos:
Starlight nightclub
West Bar
Mascot disco bar
Zona Club

Status Club

There is also a lot going on on the outskirts of Kardámena. There you will find one of the largest clubs on Kos, the Status Disco Club. At spectacular theme parties you have the chance to celebrate exuberantly.
